India will be facing Singapore in a round robin format encounter, the first match of which will be on 9th October as an away match in Singapore. Then, on 14th October here in Goa, it will be a home match. This is part of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

Tomorrow's match will be at 17:00 IST and it will be played in the Singapore National Stadium. Whereas the 14th October match will take place in Goa's Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 19:30 IST. Both matches are extremely important for India to qualify, as they have had an on-and-off season, but not a very firm squad. They will be depending on these two matches as an ultimatum for the pathway to the AFC Asian Cup.

It's also a matter of prestige for the Indian team. The last few matches haven't been good enough for the Indian team, and the likes include a 0-0  draw against Bangladesh in March and then a loss against Hong Kong of 1-0 in June. They now have just 1 point from the matches played, and this is a do-or-die situation for the Indian team. 

Singapore has a lead here, as they have had a good season and will have an added advantage against India. The good news is that Sunil Chhetri will be present, and this brings some sigh of relief for the Indian camp. Goalkeeper Gurpreet Sandhu will keep the shots at bay, and Sandhesh Jhinghan and Rahul Bheke will be handling the defence. The problem is the inconsistency of the Indian team so far.
