The promotional trailer for Arasan is here. Starring Silambarasan TR, affectionately referred to as STR, and directed by Vetri Maaran, the makers decided to ditch the traditional method of releasing trailers exclusively via digital platforms and instead chose to cater directly to audiences, releasing the video directly to theatres in select locations. Additionally, the promo was made available on YouTube for other fans.
The promo was released in numerous locations on 17th October, and has resulted in quite the social media frenzy for Telugu and Tamil movie lovers.
Sharing the youtube video link on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Telugu star Jr. NTR celebrated the release.

Titled "Saamrajyam" in Telugu, the Arasan promo shares a glimpse into the storyline of the film. The 5-minute video showcases our lead STR in a powerful new avatar as a ruthless gangster. The promo opens with a man claiming that everything he’s about to narrate: murders, names, and locations, is true, though the film frames it as fiction. The story unfolds as this man, later revealed to be an accused criminal facing trial for three murders in a single night, recounts his version of events to the judge. Through his narration, layers of dark humour, legal irony, and social undertones emerge, creating a gritty portrayal of Chennai’s underbelly. This Vetrimaaan directorial is set in the same gritty and dark universe as another one of his films, Vada Chennai (2018).
Backed by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creation production banner, Arasan features a soundtrack by revered composer Anirudh Ravichander. It marks the first collaboration between Vetrimaan and STR.
