The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to announce the Indian Test squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The series, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle, is scheduled to commence on October 2, 2025, with the first Test in Ahmedabad, followed by the second Test in New Delhi from 10 October 2025.
According to the reports, the squad selection meeting, chaired by Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, will announce the squad tomorrow in Dubai in the presence of the Indian Media, and Shubman Gill might join him.
Sources indicate that Agarkar was recently spotted in discussions with Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, in Dubai. Abhishek Tripathi, a journalist from Dainik Jagran, has reported that Agarkar will address the Indian media tomorrow in Dubai to formally announce the squad.
