Australia’s T20I series preparations against India are underway, and the good news for the Australian team is the return of all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. He was ruled out of the three-match series after injuring his forearm during a net session. Currently, he is undergoing flexibility exercises to recover from his injury and return to play for the team.

Recovery from Wrist Injury

Glenn Maxwell was preparing for the Chappell-Hadlee T20 against New Zealand, but injured his forearm during a net session. The incident happened in Mount Maunganui. The team was doing the final training session when a pace bowler, Mitchell Owen, delivered the ball and struck Maxwell on the wrist. The 36-year-old player, without any delay, left the practice session, and scans confirmed a fracture to his forearm. He immediately went home and had a medical appointment. Maxwell underwent surgery last week, and his cast has been removed. He is now undergoing exercise and is expected to return for the T20I against India.

"I think having the surgery last week sort of gives me a little bit more hope of playing some part in that India series, if I can get myself right. The only reason I had the surgery was the options they gave me were miss that series completely and no surgery, or have surgery and it gives me a slim chance to hopefully play a part. And if not, I'll be ready earlier for the BBL, and I think it leaves me in good stead to get the rest of my body right." Maxwell said.  (Source: ESPN)

Expected Participation in India T20I Series
