The first El Clásico of the season proved to be a banger as Real Madrid registered a win against Barcelona with a 2-1 score. This was also the first El Clásico of the season. The match was quite interesting as both sides had a neck-to-neck fight, with Real Madrid having the final laugh. Real Madrid with this win, holds its position at the top of the table. They have 9 wins out of the 10 matches and 27 points with only 1 loss so far. This is an impressive tally, whereas Barcelona has 7 wins and 2 losses, and 1 draw, and they are in the 2nd position with 22 points.

 

Mbappé Shines Again in Sublime Form for the Madridistas

The match started with the French giant Kylian Mbappe scoring the first goal for Real Madrid in the 22nd minute. Barcelona bounced back quite quickly with Fermin Lopez in the 38th minute. Jude Bellingham in the 43rd minute scored the second goal for Real Madrid. Kylian Mbappe, in an interaction, said, “El Clásico is always special. The energy, the fans, the intensity, it drives you. We wanted to send a message that Real Madrid are here to win everything.” It was a disappointing loss for Barcelona, and the coach said, “We played well in phases but lacked the composure and finishing needed at this level. Madrid punished our mistakes, that’s what great teams do.”

 

 

Barcelona’s Red Card Sparks Heated Moments in El Clásico

To add on more to this, Barcelona's Pedri was given the red card in the 90th minute. Now it was a 10-man squad. It was highly dramatic as Real Madrid's Andriy Lunin was shown a red card in the 90th minute. Real Madrid had the ball possession in 52%. Barcelona would need to have a stronger comeback after this match. Barca fans were utterly disappointed, and for Real Madrid fans, it was a Hala Madrid moment.
