The second round of the US Open 2025 was nothing less than watching a Hollywood movie with Brad Pitt, so dramatic and so much action. The fans in New  York had a great time watching legends take on each other, and a lot of youngsters were in the show as well. There were quite energetic performances from the top seeds, a lot of unexpected comebacks, and the drama both on and off the court. The world's No.1 and defending champion, who is none other than Jannik Sinner, made use of the experience he has to clinch a dramatic and amazing victory over Alexei Popyrin with a 6-3,6-2,6-2 scoreline. He had once again proved why he is the world's No. 1.

Alcaraz Shines, Djokovic Breaks Record

In another encounter, Carlos Alcaraz maintained his dominance, and also the seed 2 got a set of back-to-back wins on his own. Alex de Minaur had an impressive performance against his opponent Shintaro Mochizuki as he had served 11 early break points and ended the match smoothly 6-2,6-4, 6-2, and this reminds of the song Butter by BTS, and so was the match. This booked Minaur's eighth straight Round of 32 appearance. Even though there were matches like this but the veterans like Novak Djokovic were no less classic to add to the grandness of the tournament. The 38-year-old was chasing yet another deep run and even after dropping the opening set against Zachary Svajda, but came in the Djokovic style to snatch the victory by 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 by breaking Roger Federer's record of 191 hard court Slam wins. Alexander Zverev also was no less as he showed calm and steady signs to clinch victory against Jacob Fearnley with a scorecard of 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

Coco Gauff Draws Strength from Simone Biles to Seal Emotional US Open Victory

Coco Gauff was worth watching and and her performance peaked and reached the skies. The audience watched in awe as she showed her magic on the courts. She has her inspiration from the legend in the Olympics, Simone Biles, who was present there and also cheered for her from the stands. She took little time to gain momentum against  Donna Vekić by a straight set win of 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. She broke down in tears after the match, and it was a very emotional moment.
